Meet Our Founder

Nathaniel Zayas is the founder of Zayas Real Estate Solutions, LLC; formerly Zayas Energy & Real Estate Solutions, LLC. Mr. Zayas has served as an appraiser and energy auditor in both the private and public sectors.  In 2002 Mr. Zayas began his career as an appraiser in Costa Mesa, CA providing residential and commercial valuation services in Central and Southern California. Over the years he has not only grown his expertise in real estate valuation, but has expanded his geographical coverage to include parts of Northern California over the past several years.

Mr. Zayas graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California with a Bachelors in Business Administration. He is a California Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and Certified as a HERS rater through CalCERTS, an approved provider of the California Energy Commissions training program. Mr. Zayas has been providing valuation services for nearly two decades.

In 2010 Nathaniel Zayas relocated from Costa Mesa to Visalia CA to start a new venture. He saw the importance of energy efficiency and renewable energy and decided to further his knowledge. Mr. Zayas pursued an education in Title 20 & Title 24 compliance for residential and non-residential properties. In early 2010 Mr. Zayas received his certification as a  CalCERTS HERS II Rater for new construction and alterations for both residential and non-residential buildings. Shortly after Mr. Zayas was awarded an ARRA funded program for the local Tulare River Reservation.

Due to the success of the first ARRA funded program, in late 2010, Zayas Energy & Real Estate Solutions, LLC was formed and awarded an additional ARRA funded program ran through the City of Fresno’s Home Energy Tune Up Program in conjunction with ConSol. The Central Valley’s Home Energy Tune Up program covered Kern, Kings, Tulare, Fresno, and Madera Counties with Zayas Energy & Real Estate Solutions, LLC providing thousands of assessments for homeowners. More than 2,500 homes, in Fresno County, were provided with free energy assessments with a total of 925 homes receiving energy efficient retrofits generating $4.8 million in business activity in the region. The program gained momentum and was provided additional funding through the California Public Utilities Commission partnership with PG&E and the City of Fresno. The program was funded for several more years with a considerable number of homes receiving energy assessments. After Zayas Energy & Real Estate Solutions, LLC contractual obligations were fulfilled, Mr. Zayas made the decision to step away from the energy side of business to begin focusing his direction on the real estate and valuation divisions of the business.

Mr. Zayas’ work experience spans a wide variety of property types with expertise in the valuation of Energy Efficient Facilities, Renewable Energy, Land Development, and other Special Use properties. He has also provided valuation services for Industrial, Warehouse, Packing House, Cold Storage, Parking Structure, Office & Medical Office Planned Unit Development, Shopping Center, Agriculture (soft commodities), Storage Yard, Mini-Storage, Small Store, Retail Store, Supermarket, Restaurant, Mobile Home Park, Car Sales Lot, Auto Repair Service, Rehab Facility, Hotel, Convenient Store, Gas Station, Car Wash, Assisted Living Center, Golf Course, Churches, Manufacturing Facilities, Apartment Complexes, Mixed-Use Development, Residential Income Producing Properties, Rural Property, Portfolio Investments, Schools, Public Buildings, and Estates.  His geographical expertise is focused in California and Oklahoma with plans to expand to other regions in the near future.
